Examining Character in Potential New Hires

by Steve Marr | Uncategorized

When hiring staff, is examining character a key element in your process?

King Solomon wrote, “…what is lacking cannot be counted” (Eccl. 1:15 NASB).

A person lacking in character will never make a good employee, regardless of how well he or she interviews or how strong of a resume he or she has.

Studies show that between one third and one half of resumes contain a material false statement or over-stated credentials.

Before extending a job offer, carefully check references and verify all-important claims. Avoid hiring those with false statements and build a great business team.
