Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
What does being full of the fruits of righteousness mean? The word fruit is from a Greek word that means “fruit: as plucked.” This implies that the fruit of our relationship with Jesus is to become grown, mature and harvested. This means it comes from Jesus and is both visible and available to others.
The Message Bible says: Bountiful in fruits from the soul, making Jesus Christ attractive to all, getting everyone involved in the glory and praise of God.
When we yield to God in our daily living our life will be filled with the sharply superior traits, which only Jesus Christ produces. He will have us busy doing good deeds that bring glory and praise to God. We will demonstrate to the world around us the tremendous benefits that come by serving others. But remember fruit needs time to grow and mature. God is then glorified.
I am being filled with the fruits of righteousness and I demonstrate to others both words and deeds that glorify God.
