You’ve seen God’s Word manifest itself in people’s lives. And you’ve probably experienced victory in your own life. But do you know how those desired results were achieved?
Maybe you hoped and prayed. You may have even fasted and cried out to God. But if you don’t know what caused God to move on your behalf, victory will only be a hit-or-miss in your life. And that’s not God’s will.
God doesn’t want you to wonder whether or not He will come through for you. He wants you to know how to get your breakthrough every single time. He wants you to expect it from Him. Through years of ministry, personal experience and a lot of prayer, I’ve learned that faith in God and a heart that is established on the Word moves His hand.
In Mark 11:22-24, Jesus tells us to, “…Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”
These scriptures give us keys to receiving manifestation. In other words, they tell us to have faith in God, speak His Word, believe His Word and receive His Word. You may think, God can’t be limited to a formula. But you see, it’s not a formula. In my Bible, those words are written in red ink. That tells me that Jesus spoke those words. Therefore, if it worked for Jesus, and He is our example, then it will work for us too.
Don’t Struggle…Speak
Child of God, you must realize that your reasoning and intellect will struggle against the things of God. And any trace of doubt will challenge your faith walk. But don’t concern yourself with the doubt in your head. Remove all doubt, then speak to those mountains in your life and tell them to go in the Name of Jesus.
If you’ll believe that you have what you’ve spoken, you’ll see it manifest. Remember, you must establish your heart on the Word of God. For example, your body’s performance is dependent on the condition of your physical heart. You won’t be able to win a 10K marathon unless you’ve conditioned yourself through diet and exercise. Likewise, your spirit can only do what you’ve trained and conditioned it to do.
In Proverbs 4:23, the Bible tells you about that conditioning by instructing you to “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” And Jesus further explained it by saying, “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh” (Luke 6:45).
You can think of it this way: If you don’t like what’s in your life right now, you’d better fix your heart. How? By guarding what goes into it. Your eyes, ears and mouth are the entry ways to your heart. Reading, hearing and speaking God’s Word deposits or plants faith into the soil of your heart. Proverbs 4:20-22 says, “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.”
In other words, God’s Word is alive. Therefore it gives life to your spirit. I’ve seen this many times in my own body. I use the Word of God in the same way other people would use medicine. I find scriptures on healing and then I put that Word inside of me by reading, hearing and speaking it. When I do this, I nourish my spirit to the point that the Word concerning my health overcomes any symptoms of sickness.
If your spirit is starved or malnourished, Satan can capitalize on your Word deficit and cause you to experience symptoms such as sickness or disease, rejection, loneliness and depression. When you don’t nourish yourself with the Word of God on a daily basis, your spirit will become empty and you’ll be led by your carnal mind instead of by the Spirit of God.
Blessed to Be a Blessing
When your spirit is continually fed the Word of God, your faith is strengthened, you have the joy of the Lord, a spirit of praise, and peace that passes all understanding. In addition to that, God wants to bless you so that you can be a blessing to others (Genesis 12:2-3). Because of your prosperity and generosity, everyone will know that you are a child of God. Having an established heart that trusts God is the key to receiving these blessings. In other words, you aren’t afraid of evil tidings and you don’t concern yourself with evil reports when your heart is fixed on the Word. You only receive God’s Word.
Confess the Word daily. Put it in your heart. Then you can lean on God and on the Word that’s in your spirit. Remember, you can’t let your thoughts or things that have happened in the past hinder you from seeing the end of your faith. Isaiah 55:9 tells us that God’s ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts.
Child of God, that’s the purpose of establishing your heart and exercising faith. We want to have those higher thoughts and achieve those higher ways. We want to tap in to that which is beyond the natural. To be debt free, live in prosperity, have a blessed marriage, and be delivered from sickness and disease will take higher thoughts and higher ways.
Faith as a Tool
We must seek to move mountains and manifest God’s Word in our lives. And it’s going to take a move of God to get those things to happen! In the same way a carpenter uses a hammer, it’s going to take us using faith like a tool to see the impossible manifest in our life. Jesus shows us an example of how to use that tool in Mark 11:12-14:
And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he [Jesus] was hungry. And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find anything thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
Even though we know that a tree can’t talk, this scripture clearly says Jesus answered it. Therefore, if He answered it, that tree must have in some way said something. And Jesus responded and used His faith by speaking to it. The same can be true in your life. You have to use your faith like a tool to build whatever you’re believing God for. For example, your checking account doesn’t have a mouth to speak, but it talks to you. Your bills can talk too. But you don’t need to sit and ponder your situation.
Satan’s major weapon is deception through your thoughts. And you must guard against those thoughts getting into your heart. Instead, answer your circumstances like Jesus did. Arrest those thoughts with the Word of God. Disrupt Satan’s plan by speaking God’s Word. If you don’t, Satan will try to dominate your thinking and eventually make those thoughts become a reality.
Don’t let the devil seduce you into defeat! Jesus has already won the battle. Through Him you are more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37). All you have to do is have faith in the Word of God. When Jesus spoke to the fig tree, Mark 11:14 says, “His disciples heard it.” He was in a perfect position to be ridiculed by them. But what He spoke came to pass. And you must do the same thing.
You have to fix your heart on the Word so that it won’t matter what people think of you. Use your faith and declare the Word of God over your circumstances. When you are obedient to God and have established your heart, all of heaven will back you up. Mark 11:20 says it didn’t take a long time for Jesus to see the manifestation of what He spoke. He spoke to the tree one day and saw it dried up the next. I believe that is God’s will for us too. But what do we have to do to get there? We fix our heart on God’s Word.
Child of God, when you continually deposit the Word in your spirit, you will reap a harvest of blessings that will enable you to bless others. God gave each of us a measure of faith. Use it and watch God move on your behalf.
