Healing Is the Work Of Jesus

by Tim Davidson | Featured Devotions

“The news about Him spread throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all who were ill, those suffering with various diseases and pains, demoniacs, epileptics, paralytics; and He healed them.”

(Matt. 4:24 NASB)

As the news about Jesus spread throughout the countryside, people came to Him expecting that He could do something about their condition. People with every kind of sickness or disease were brought to Him.

People with demons in them, others thought to be crazy, and still others who couldn’t walk came to Him. Jesus healed them all because Jesus did the works of His Father. Healing is God’s will.

The Message Bible says: “Word got around the entire Roman province of Syria. People brought anybody with an ailment, whether mental, emotional, or physical. Jesus healed them, one and all.”

No case is too difficult. No case is insignificant. Jesus is still doing the Father’s works through the believers today. He now uses our voice to proclaim the good news. He uses our hands on the sick. The Holy Spirit helps us to continue the works of God.

Today’s Thought to Take With You:

The good news is that Jesus is still meeting the needs of people today through me.
