When hiring a manager, are you careful to hire manageable staff?
The Apostle Paul wrote, “…the overseer must…not be self-willed…” (Titus 1:7 NASB).
Managers who fail to follow our directions will become loose cannons, blowing up in your face.
During an interview, ask what the candidate learned from each previous manager. The person who admits to learning little in the past will desire to learn little from you and be poor at following directions.
Select managers with a record of learning from past bosses and following directions, and you will have a good team player.
