I have been disappointed by people my whole life. This causes me to have very little trust or faith in God. I know God wants me to trust Him, but it’s very difficult for me to do so. How can I change my attitude in this area?
The only way to change our attitudes or outlooks in any area is by renewing our minds to what the Bible says about God. Personal revelation about God’s goodness, mercy, and faithfulness can transform your life. Let me share some scriptures with you on the faithfulness of God.
Your (God’s) faithfulness endures to all generations; You established the earth, and it abides. They continue this day according to Your ordinances, For all are Your servants.
(Ps. 119:90-91 NKJ)For I am the LORD, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.
(Mal. 3:6 NKJ)Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him.
(Matt. 7:9-11 NKJ)Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
(Heb. 13:5-6 NKJ)
God never changes! He desires to help us and take care of our needs. We can count on Him to be there when we need Him.
