I Am The Resurrection

by Tim Davidson | A Verse A Day

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.

( John 11:25 KJV)

This verse says that the one believing in Jesus, even if he dies, will live. There is life after death. Jesus proved that Himself when He was raised from the dead on that first Easter morning. He gives eternal life to us. It’s the Life that isn’t slowed down or stopped if we die. It just keeps going, getting better and better.

The Message Bible says: You don’t have to wait for the End. I am, right now, Resurrection and Life. The one, who believes in me, even though he or she dies, will live.

Martha’s brother Lazarus had died of an illness and Jesus had come three days later to raise him up. Jesus is the resurrection and the life. Jesus will raise us up also, both in this earth life and in our heaven life that follows.

But it’s important to believe this report. Jesus said, “He that believes in me shall live.” Put your trust in the Word of God, believe on Jesus and you will be raised up to new life with Christ.

Today’s Thought to Take With You:

Jesus is my resurrection guarantee. His resurrection power is working in me now.
