Immortality

by Tim Davidson | Uncategorized

But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.

(2 Tim. 1:10 KJV)

God’s purpose and grace is what Jesus Christ manifests to us every day. He shows us the compassion and mercy of God. We can now follow His example. Jesus conquered death and brought us the good news of the Gospel. It’s the Gospel that shines on us as a beacon of light and offers us life that never ends.

The Message Bible says: But we know it now. Since the appearance of our Savior, nothing could be plainer: death defeated, life vindicated in a steady blaze of light, all through the work of Jesus.

Jesus redeemed our lives from the power of death in His death, burial and resurrection. He was willing to pay the tremendous price for our freedom, so we can take our benefits and serve God from our hearts. For the rest of our days we can walk in the light of Jesus and we won’t stumble around in darkness any more.

Today’s Thought to Take With You:

Jesus abolished death for me and has given me life and immortality. What a Savior!
