I thank God for my healing, but I would prefer never to have anything try to come on me. Because of sin, which brought on sickness, God provided a way for us to receive healing.
It is wonderful when we pray over someone who is sick, and then God heals him or her. A dear friend of ours was divinely healed of a hole in her heart after having hands laid on her by a pastor.

She testified of God's healing power and His goodness to her. We still rejoice in what the Lord did for her that day.

Even though God heals us, He never intended for us to "keep" having to be healed. When the LORD created us by design in His image, we were given the gift of living in divine health daily.

That means, before sin, man couldn't get sick. Man was never to have sickness or disease in his life. Sin changed man's physical body and it could no longer walk in divine health. It would no longer live eternally like the spirit and soul do.

Divine healing is God removing a sickness or disease that has come upon us. To walk in divine health (living sickness and disease free) is to be in such close communication with God that sickness or disease never comes on us.

I thank God for my healing, but I would prefer never to have anything try to come on me.

Because of sin, which brought on sickness, God provided a way for us to receive healing. He gave us a provision in order to receive divine, continual healing.

Exodus 23:25 is a scripture that we pray over our meals: "And you will serve (worship) the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread, and your water, and I will take sickness away from the midst of you."

Serving God allows divine healing to enter into your life.

To further help us maintain our healing, Jesus gave us a New Covenant of healing that covered every sickness or disease that was or would come on people.

In Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 2:24 Jesus covered all sickness...yours and mine and anyone who would call on Him.

What are we willing to do to walk and live in divine health? God gave us a way to do it: "So shall you serve Me." How much do we really want to be healed?
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.
(Isa. 53:5)

Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes you were healed.
(1 Peter 2:24)
