We need to learn how to sit at Jesus' feet, and listen to the Word of God, because that is where we find peace.
"How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?" (Rom. 10:14 KJV).

You need to consistently put yourself in places where you can hear the Word of God. Conversely, you need to stop running with people that are constantly fighting you about the Word of God and your obedience to that Word.

One of the things that I told my children is not to listen to what their friends say that their parents let them do. More than likely, their friends are just saying that to get them to do it.

So I told them that until their friends started buying their food and clothes, and providing a bed and a roof for themselves, they had better make sure if they disobey me it is because they want to, and not because their friends convinced them to.

I made it clear that their friends cannot and will not provide for them what their parents provide for them. The same goes for you. Jesus is the One who gave His life for you so that you could obey the Word of God and walk in abundance. Your friends cannot and will not provide new life for you. And because of what Jesus has done, it should be our desire to be wherever the Word of God is preached.

When you hear the Word preached, then you can believe it. And in order to call on the Name of the Lord you must believe what you've heard. Then once you hear it, believe what you hear, and call on God to meet you at your point of need, you have to start saying it.

What I have found is we don't have a problem with the believing and hearing part. But when it comes to saying it, we seem to fall short. We don't want to say it because of what someone may think. Believe me, it's okay. They already think you're crazy. People are going to think what they want to think regardless of what you do. So forget about what they think, and do what the Word says.

That reminds me of two sisters, Mary and Martha. They were sisters who loved Jesus. But Martha got upset because Mary wouldn't help her serve their guests one particular day.

Mary decided to sit at the feet of Jesus as He taught the people in their home. Martha wanted Jesus to tell Mary to help but Jesus said that Mary has chosen the good part, the needful part.

If it was needful for her it is needful for us. We need to learn how to sit at Jesus' feet, and listen to the Word of God, because that is where we find peace.
