Do not forget how broken you truly are apart from Christ. Imagine what your life would be like without Him, and allow humility and gratitude to drive you all the closer to Him. Moments when your weaknesses are staring you in the face or a situation seems impossible to overcome are anything but pleasant. However, you realize how terribly depraved you are without His love and camaraderie. Being under His authority and covering is all that can sustain you.

Stop trying to justify and perfect yourself, and watch God work graciously on your behalf. Chosen child of God, His authority flows through you to overcome, not just get by, to conquer, and not just survive. Rejoice; the Lord is victorious in you!
