When you get too much of The God of Too Much, sickness and disease can’t stay on your body. Cancer can’t cling to you. Diabetes can’t cling to you. No disease in the world can stand next to the power of God without being totally obliterated.

Do you know that there aren’t any hospitals or doctors’ offices in heaven? That’s right’, they aren’t there. And do you know why? Because sickness and disease can’t stand in the presence of God! That is why people who have cancer aren’t going to get to heaven with it. They won’t be able to get through the gates with a sickness. Either they get healed here or they get healed there, but their sickness is not going to make it in heaven! The reason God wants you to be healed here on earth is so other can see that healing works.

So, how do you get “too much” of the God of Too Much?

“By reading “more than enough” of His Word! By continually reminding yourself of what His Word says and by knowing and believing what He said!

The Devil Doesn’t Come To Make You Sick, He comes To Steal, Kill and Destroy You!
I saw a guy in the Atlanta airport one time. He was standing waiting for the flight just about choking to death. Well, at least he sounded like he was dying. The man had a cold – a nasty, slimy, flu-type of cold. He had this hacking cough and you could hear the snot gurgling in the back of his throat. It was gross. Nobody really wanted to be around him. Including me.

But I figured I’d be nice since everybody else was avoiding him like the plague. So I walked up to him and started a conversation. “Hey, sounds like you got it bad,” I said. He blew his nose in a handkerchief. It sounded like Niagara Falls. Man, when I think back about it, that guy was plumb full of slime!

“Yeah,” he said with a muffled voice, “I tell you what, This is the worst I’ve ever had.” Yeah’, I agreed with him. “It sounds bad.” Then I figured since I was there I ought to share a little with him. So I just told him what I thought about the situation. “Man,” I said, “you are the perfect example of the grace and mercy of God.”

“What?” he said.

“Yeah. That sickness. It’s from the devil. And the devil didn’t come to make you sick, sir. He came to kill you. He wanted that stinking cold to beat your brains out and fill up your lungs with fluid until you just suffocate and die. But the great God Jehovah is keeping that trash sown. The immune system He created is working to keep death off of you! It ain’t Excedrin P.M. It’s not Tylenol. It’s God! He’s stopping the devil from killing you right now. Think about that the next time you take Excedrin.”

It doesn’t bother me to tell people what I think. I don’t always do it. Sometimes I can be real quiet around people (believe it or not). But that day, I felt like telling that man the truth about sickness – and the truth about God’s mercy and grace. He even cares for people who aren’t saved! It’s just His mercy and grace keeping that sickness from turning into something to destroy, steal and kill.

But just think how much better it is for a Christian. Sickness and disease are not only fought off by the immune system, which is God’s grace in our body. They can be fought off in the spiritual realm! How? With God’s Word!

Stir Yourself Up With the Word
But you don’t simply remind yourself of His Word. You stir yourself up! Start quoting those Scriptures to yourself like a preacher, earnestly and fiercely telling your body to line up with the Word! You say things like, “By His stripes I was healed over 2000 years ago and today I’m claiming it over my life! Search your Sword of the Spirit and find out that…
I am the Lord that healeth thee. Ex. 15:26

My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart: For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh. Prov. 4:20-22
Stand up and praise God for His healing benefits! Rejoice over these words from God and begin to use them as your own!
