Don't ever get so "spiritual" that you get past the revelation of faith, saying, "I don't need faith anymore; I'm deeper than that." If you're that deep, you're on your way out the door. You're about to have an Ishmael, and you're not going to have anything from God beyond natural law.
God's Spirit came upon Mary, and she conceived and had the Christ child. God overrode natural law for His purpose.
And what about Jesus? What was the very first miracle He did when He entered into His ministry? He turned water into wine (John 2:3-9).
Now let me tell you, that was something that overrode natural law - in fact, it accelerated natural law.
To make wine takes two to three years for it to ferment properly. The Bible says that this wine was for the governor, who was accustomed to the best wine. The best wine requires several more years than that to be fermented to perfection. It requires five to six years to have the best wine.
Well, guess what happened. The wedding hosts had run out of wine. Jesus' mother said to Jesus, "I want You to do something about this situation," and He listened to His momma! He took that water, He appealed to El Shaddai, and God accelerated the process! What normally took five to six years took only seconds. And when the governor drank that wine, he said, "You have saved the best for last. Where have you been keeping this wine?"
El Shaddai can speed up the process in your life too. Instead of it taking you ten to twenty years to get to where you know God wants you, El Shaddai can accelerate the process! He can speed things up, because He reserves the right to accelerate nature!
Yes, in the natural, you might have to wait until you get to be a certain age before you can do some things. But when it comes to El Shaddai, He is the One who reverses, overrides, and accelerates natural law!
I was in the ministry at age eighteen. When I was a young pastor, all the way up to the age of about twenty-three, people used to always come up to me and ask, "How can you be a pastor at your age?"
My son began pastoring with me in our Phoenix church at age twenty-one. People look at that and wonder, How can he do anything at that age? Well, you can if you know El Shaddai! He can accelerate your wisdom. He can accelerate your knowledge. He is God Almighty!
So stop looking at things as they are in the natural. Today Jesus is still operating in the ministry of El Shaddai. El Shaddai is still manifesting Himself today. He is the God who can supersede, accelerate, and, if necessary, slow down natural law.
In the Book of Joshua, chapter 10, we can read that Joshua was fighting a battle and needed the sun to stand still in order to get the job done. Well, you know that the sun just doesn't stand still, but El Shaddai stopped the sun! He slowed it down for His man, Joshua, until it didn't move anymore for a period of time (see Joshua 10:13).
God will go as far as He has to go for you and me. If He has to speed things up, He'll do it. If He has to slow things down, He'll do it. If He has to stop something, He'll do it. If He has to override something, He'll do it. If He has to constrain it, He'll do it.
El Shaddai will do it for you if you'll stand on the Word of God, believe Him, control your mouth, and praise Him in the middle of what's going on in your life! You have to be willing to shout when you have to shout, run when you have to run, and dance when you have to dance!
I want you to see El Shaddai at a deeper level. Yes, it's true that He is more than enough, but He is the One who reserves the right to do something about natural law! Doctors may say you can't have a baby, but I know One who can override that natural law!
People might say you're not smart enough, that your brains are "fried." But I know One who can override that natural law!
People might say there's no way for you to make it, that you're going to have to stand in line for twenty-five years, but you are not ordinary! God does not operate with ordinary.
God can cause you to leap over everybody else and get you where you're supposed to go! So it's time to praise Elohim the Creator. But it's also time to praise El Shaddai, the One who can reverse and override natural law!
You may be old. The calendar may say you are eighty-nine or even ninety-nine, but you can be like they were in the Scripture. Your eyes can still be sharp. You can still have strength. You can still do the will of God when you believe in El Shaddai. He that comes to God must believe that He is and that He will reward him.
He will reward you if you seek Him diligently, because He is El Shaddai!
