I'm the kind of person who likes one project at a time. I like to apply all my energy toward one goal until I complete it, tie it all up in a neat little package, put a bow on it, finish it and set it aside. Then, I'm ready for the next goal, and I go after it with everything in me.

But that's not the way my husband is. He can be involved in 15 different projects at one time, and it doesn't even phase him. He says he's a visionary.

For years I've said, "God, why does it seem like I'm always kind of lagging behind? Why can Jerry do so many things at once?" I heard the Lord say, "He thinks big." So I've been just meditating on this and saying, "God, let me think big like Jerry."

Then, I realized that God preordained from the foundation of the world all of the things we need to get our job done. Everything is waiting for us. All we have to do is be in His will, apply an intense desire for it, and then walk right into it.

Whether it's believing for a new home, a new church building, to get out of debt, to support a missionary, to start a business...whatever it is that God has put in your heart for you to do is waiting for you. But you have to think big!

Ephesians 3:20 says, "Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us."

The Amplified Bible says it this way: "Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes or dreams]."

The word dare means to have the courage necessary for; to challenge another.

God is saying, "I dare you. Have the courage to think big." He's challenging us to ask for big things. Because if you don't do this, you're going to reduce the plan that God has designed for your life. Think about that. There are no limits with God. Whatever you dare to believe, you can do it. If you can conceive it, you can have it.

God's expecting big things out of us. If we are going to fulfill the plan of God in our lives, we have to get it in our spirit man first. The plan of God far transcends our ability to intellectually perceive. We have to perceive it in our spirit man first.

So the question then comes: How do we do this? How do we position our lives? How can you be in faith about something that is more than you can ask or think?

First Corinthians 2:9-10 says, "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God."

So how do we position our lives to be able to receive those things?

Verse 10 says that they are revealed to us by the Spirit of God. That's how Jerry gets all these plans. It's revealed to him by the Holy Spirit as he spends time in prayer. He hears things that are greater than his intellect can conceive. In the natural, when you look on paper, there's not enough money coming in to do the things that God has called us to do.

I'm sure you feel the same way at times. But as you pray in the Holy Ghost, the Holy Spirit is asking and thinking them through you because it's coming from the Spirit of God. Praying in the Holy Spirit causes your spirit man to be built up instead of overwhelmed. It also causes your vision to become more plain and clear to you.

God doesn't want us to look at our failures, our disappointments, or our past experiences to dictate our future. He wants us to go into our prayer closet and begin to pray in the Holy Ghost and allow the Spirit of God to give us things we can't even ask or think in our intellect, which is the plan for our life.

You may not know how to pray regarding an area of your life or ministry, but if you focus your attention in that area by setting yourself in prayer and praying in the Spirit, then you'll see things revealed to you by the Spirit of God.

You're uncommon. You're rare. You're extraordinary. You're not like the rest of the world. God has a divine plan predetermined before the foundation of the world. I dare you to go for it!
