It's an interesting statement that God makes through the prophet Habakkuk. He says in Habakkuk 1:5,
Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvelously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you.
He's telling the people that He is about to do something that many of them will not be able to believe even if He told them every detail of it. God is declaring that most people, because the work will be so great, will not be able to conceive it in their minds and in their hearts.

I don't know about you, but I want to think as big as God wants me to think.

In Paul's day God said, "I'm going to work a work." I believe that God wants you and me to understand and sense the urgency of the time in which we live.

God is about to do some things that most people will not believe. Religious people will stagger at it. The world will stagger at it. And if you don't stay in touch with God, you'll stagger at it.

There is an excitement in the air. Something is happening. We are in a new day. Luke 21:28 says, "And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh." God wants you and me to begin to live each day of our lives with a sense of expectancy.

For those who have their priorities right, this is harvest time.

Jesus Coming Soon?
Some people want to know exactly where we are on God's timetable. God said in Daniel 12:4,
But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
There were things that he saw that were sealed up. It was not the proper time. The angel showed Daniel that during this time of the end there would be more knowledge, more information in the world than at any other time.

If Daniel saw accelerated knowledge coming into the earth and that it would happen in the time of the end, then you and I have to believe we're in the end time. We are the generation he saw.

If you look at history, you discover that every previous generation built on the knowledge gained by the generation before it. However, history also reveals that the knowledge gained was very modest.

For example, the Apostle Paul sailed to different countries in roughly the same kind of ships that Columbus sailed in 1,500 years later. The single most significant description of our generation is accelerated knowledge. After going from the Wright Brothers to the space shuttle in a single lifetime, what do you suppose God might be up to as we enter into a new millennium?

Eighty percent of all the scientists who have ever lived are alive and working in the field of science today. Most experts agree that the sum total of human knowledge is now doubling every two years, which means we know half as much today as we will know two years from now. That's staggering.

What Will Happen Before the Rapture of the Church?
The appearing of Jesus is the next great major event on God's timetable—the Rapture of the Church. We're the generation that's going to usher in King Jesus.

According to the Bible, the generation that sees the rebirth of Israel as a nation and sees an explosion of knowledge in the earth will be alive for this next major event.

The rebirth of Israel as a nation happened May 15, 1948. The moment that the Church has been waiting for is upon us. We're the most privileged generation that has ever existed.
  1. Restoration Just before the appearing of the Lord, God plans to completely restore to the Church everything that Satan has stolen from it. The restoration has begun. He's not only referring to healings, miracles, and creative miracles and to the raising of the dead; but he's also referring to the wealth in the Church.
  2. Wealth Transfer Read Haggai 2:6-9:
For thus saith the Lord of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and l will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord of hosts.

The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts. The glory of this latter house shall he greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.
The glory that He's talking about here is referring to wealth. It's hard for some Christians to imagine wealth. This is not some kind of pipe dream. It's happening. There is a wealth transfer, and we're in it right now.
What Should You Do To Get Ready?
This is the time to get so hot for God, so fervent in the Spirit, so excited about what God is doing that this excitement oozes out of you everywhere you go and gets on somebody else. Your number one priority as a last-day believer should be: What can I do for God?
  1. Get your priorities straight These are the days of accelerated things. Matthew 6:33 says, "But seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall he added unto you."

God wants you extremely blessed with every desire of your heart fulfilled, but don't put your wants ahead of God's wants. That's the key. If you put your goals and your ambitions ahead of God's, then you're going to sow and sow, but you're not going to get the kind of return that God promises, because you're not putting God's plans first.

You're pursuing your plans rather than God's. Remember the order: Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and then all these other things will be added. God is going to do more in your life in the next two years than you've experienced in the last 20 years if you get your priorities straight.
  2. Stay in faith We are living in the time of harvest. More people are coming into the knowledge of truth than ever before. It is also a time of financial harvest. God is going to fill your life with abundance.

If you have been patient as Hebrews 10:35-36 says, if you are unwavering, uncompromising, then this is the time to shout and rejoice because what you've been praying and believing for is on the horizon.

This generation will experience more than any other previous generation the ability to tap into the power to get wealth. Wealth and riches are your portion not only from the labor of your hands or from your job, but the Bible also talks about faith as being a form of labor.

Have you ever labored in faith? Stood on the Word of God? Believed God for impossible things? God's Word says that it is your portion to get what you have earned with your hands, and it is also your portion to enjoy what you have labored in faith over. That means every seed you've sown!
  3. Never Stop Sowing It is your destiny to be extremely blessed. It is your destiny to have a hundredfold return on every seed that you've sown.

The Bible tells us that wealth and riches are the fruit of our labor both in the natural and of our faith. Second Corinthians 9:6 says, "But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully."

It's your portion; it's your inheritance; it belongs to you. If you've sown bountifully, then it's your portion to reap bountifully. Don't stop sowing. Stay aggressive. This is your time.

We are going to enter into a whole new level, a whole new dimension. Confess it. Expect it. Don't let anything shake your faith. Your destiny is one of extraordinary blessings if you believe it, confess it, hold fast to it and expect it with every thing in you. Get ready—this is the time the church has been waiting for!
