How can you be certain? God has given you His Word on it! This fact can be proven in God's Word time and time again. For example, "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us" (1 John 5:14).
Here it is again, "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health even as thy soul prospereth" (3 John 2). And again, "...Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant" (Ps. 35:27).
God confirms it again in Luke 6:38, "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom…." The Lord is trying to run you over with blessings. Glory to God!
Confidence In The Word
Much like the tightrope walker that trusts in his ability, if you have confidence in the Word of God and apply faith pressure to your circumstances, then the Lord will empower you to overcome every impossibility. To apply faith pressure is to pray diligently, read the Bible consistently, and make daily faith confessions. It is to never give up, cave in, or quit!
Unfortunately, many Christians claim to have great faith, but a close examination of how they live and speak would reveal that they truly don't have the God-kind of faith. The God-kind of faith is speaking the Word over your circumstances and believing you've received what you've prayed for before you actually see the physical manifestation.
Many believers, however, have high expectations based on the wrong information. Some base their expectations on the hope that the Lord will heal and deliver them just because He did it for someone else. That's not how the Father operates.
Yes, He may have blessed your neighbors with a new car or given them a promotion at work. However, what He'll do for you is based on your determination to live according to the kingdom of God system - seedtime and harvest (see Gen. 8:22).
The kingdom of God refers to God's way of doing things. In other words, it is His method of operation, and involves sowing (or planting) a seed and reaping a harvest. For example: When a farmer plants corn seed, what type of harvest should he expect to reap? Corn.
Likewise, in God's system you are the farmer and the Word is your seed (see Mark 4:14). Plant it in the soil of your heart and you are guaranteed to reap a harvest of blessings.
Regardless of your dilemmas, the answers are in the Bible. So make it the final authority. By that I mean, make whatever the Word of God says the solution you accept and live by. If the Word of God says, "...and with his stripes we are healed" (Isa. 53:5) then believe that complete healing is what you'll have.
If your prayers fall in line with the Word of God concerning your needs, then the Father is obligated to meet them. "My word...shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it" (Isa. 55:11).
Remember: your needs don't move the hand of God; your faith does!
