"For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world" (Heb. 4:3 KJV).

In order to enter into that place of complete confidence and faith in God, an individual has to believe. Let's look at how Jesus exhibited confidence in God.

In Matthew 8, Jesus had been ministering all day to thousands of people. In verse 18 we read: "When Jesus saw a great multitude about him, he gave commandment to depart unto the other side." Jesus issued a word. He said, go to the other side, I'm going to catch up with you later.

Well, as they went, they ran into a storm. That boat is rocking, and the water is over the top of the boat, and in the boat, and Jesus is asleep on a pillow. It's not bothering him at all. The disciples are out there dealing with this boat and woke Jesus up saying, "Lord, save us, we're going to die."

Jesus was in such rest that they had to wake him up. And He asked them, "Why are ye so fearful? Oh ye of little faith. Then he arose, rebuked the winds and the sea and there was a great calm...."

But I want you to note that Jesus didn't operate in the earth as the Son of God. He operated as the son of Man anointed by the Holy Ghost with a word from God, the Father. And that's what you are, a man or woman anointed by the Holy Ghost with a word from God.

Jesus was expecting somebody to say, "The Son of the Living God said, let's go to the other side. Peace, be still!" The same thing would have happened. The difference was faith. Entering into the rest of God is based upon how much faith you exhibit.

Acting on the Word of God is what causes you to have confidence and operate in the rest of God. God's Word still says you're delivered, whether it looks like you are or not. God's Word says you're healed. God's Word says you're provided for. God's Word says God meets your needs, whether it looks like they are or not.

When you mix your faith with what God's Word said you will have rest. Operating in that rest would then cause you to be able to operate in greater faith because faith moves the hand of God. Fear moves the hand of the enemy; BUT FAITH will cause you to have the things you desire.
