I once spent a wonderful weekend at a little church in West Texas that needed help. The devil had plagued that little church and its members with just about everything you can imagine to keep it just one point away from being snuffed out altogether!

The members were against one another, there were factions in the church, little groups against little groups, and even against the Pastor. There were even folks holding on to their tithe—hoping to starve out the Pastor and take over the church!

The Pastor had asked for advice on the matter, and the Lord said to me, "Go!" So we went. We came to do spiritual warfare, to deal with these issues and situations, and deal with the source of it all—Satan.

We came to call down the spiritual forces that had plagued that area for some time, and that we did!

We had a wonderful meeting. I left feeling very satisfied that we had accomplished the task at hand, and had launched the beginning of a new start for these wonderful people!

When I got up this morning, however, my wife was sick, the car wouldn't start, I had an almost flat tire, and my niece who lives with us had apparently not come home the night before.

Needless to say, I was going to be late this morning, and the ice cold frappucino in the car was "not going to be" (ice cold), once I was on-the-road!

Turning Things Around...Again
Just as I got the car started (using jumper cables) my niece drove up and apologized, having fallen asleep at a friend's house during a movie. She was alright! My frappucino was still cold, and I stopped by the station on my way out and added some air to my tire.

As I approached the highway (I-35), what appeared to be bumper-to-bumper traffic all the way into Austin, would later turn out to be a little slowdown for a stalled car just down the road.

Fiddling with my polo shirt buttons as I drove down the highway, I sipped on my frappucino. I began to realized that there were no buttons on my shirt! A quick flick of the dome light revealed where they'd gone…I had left the house wearing my polo shirt inside out!

I began to laugh, and laugh really hard.

It was apparent to me now. After all that spiritual warfare this past weekend, and the tearing down of strongholds in the heavens we'd done just a few days before, the devil was not at all happy!

He was not the least bit pleased about what we'd done to his forces in that small Texas town out West, and the little church that now has a fighting chance to be free indeed.

And as for me? I continued down the road enjoying my drink, my joy (of the Lord) still in-tact. I laughed and I thanked Him…both for the victory of that little church out West, and for that morning's events that made (proved & settled) my day.

I trust you're day is going much better than mine did. But if not, remember who is to blame (I'll give you a hint...it's not God!) Therefore take authority over the enemy of your soul and then you too can get the devil on the run!
