I was researching a book I am working on when I came across a familiar scripture. It is found in Daniel 10:12:
Then he said to me, "Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words.
The Amplified version says it like this: I have come in response to your words.

As I read those words I began to think….if God came today or sent an angel today for MY words…what would he find?

It is better to be quiet than to say things that do not line up with the word of God. But, if God came for my words, what words would he find? And if he found no words…. What then?

A few days ago after a particularly hard challenge, I began to quote a scripture God gave me years ago – He called it my ‘life’ scripture.

It is found in Psalm 27:13:
I would have lost heart, or fainted, if I had not believed I would see the goodness of God in the land of the living.
I began declaring ‘I will not faint or lose heart for I know I will see the goodness of God in the land of the living.’ I went to sleep declaring that scripture and I woke up quoting that scripture. I did that for a few days, until I was ready to press through this time of resistance.
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
(2 Cor. 4:17-18)
Take a moment and think about your words – if God came for your words today, what would he find?
Now Jesus was telling the disciples a parable to make the point that at all times they ought to pray and not give up and lose heart, saying, “In a certain city there was a judge who did not fear God and had no respect for man. There was a [desperate] widow in that city and she kept coming to him and saying, ‘Give me justice and legal protection from my adversary.’

For a time he would not; but later he said to himself, ‘Even though I do not fear God nor respect man, yet because this widow continues to bother me, I will give her justice and legal protection; otherwise [a]by continually coming she [will be an intolerable annoyance and she] will wear me out.’”

Then the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says! And will not [our just] God defend and avenge His elect [His chosen ones] who cry out to Him day and night? Will He delay [in providing justice] on their behalf? I tell you that He will defend and avenge them quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find [this kind of persistent] faith on the earth?”
(Luke 18:1-8)
In this parable, Jesus is talking about the woman who would not shut up. She refused to cease declaring ‘Give me justice and protection from my adversary!’ Jesus is talking about this kind of faith, the faith that refuses to stop declaring His word. The faith that refuses to stop saying what the word of God says…the unjust judge gave her what she demanded because of her words…even though the judge gave her great resistance….because of her words she got exactly what she wanted.

In Daniel, when he prayed, great resistance followed, however, because of his words, help arrived and his prayer was answered. The woman with the unjust judge had great resistance but because of her words, her request was granted.

Friends, it is the same for us today – prayers will be answered, help will come because of our words. If God came today to you, what words would he find? Let him find faith—the same faith the woman with the unjust judge possessed. Let him find that faith in your words.
