We're not alone in our quests to become organized. There's Someone who wants to help us, so don't be dismayed. "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding" (Prov. 3:5).

Don't get so caught up with your own organizational challenges that you become overwhelmed. You have the gift! You can organize anything because the Holy Spirit is helping you.

On more than one occasion, I've encountered the misconception that people think they have to do this all alone. But that's simply not true.

We could read Proverbs 3:5 the following way: "Don't lean to your own organizational ability." That's good news!

Isaiah says there's Someone with the gift of understanding to help you:
And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.
(Isa. 11:2)
That's a promise to us!

The Spirit of understanding is the Holy Spirit of God who lives on the inside of you. He's called the Spirit of understanding because it is part of His responsibility to help us organize our lives.

We never need to feel that we don't have the ability to become organized because we are the temple of the Chief Organizer Himself! We've got the Head Organizer living in us, and His job is to help us organize every facet of our lives.

I can't imagine starting a day without turning to the Holy Spirit to help me get organized. I turn to Him in the morning, asking for His guidance as I plan my day. I start by meditating on the resource at hand, whether it be the Word of God, time management, human resources, or financial resources.

Then I begin praying in tongues, stirring up the ministry of the Holy Spirit inside me. I would be lost if I didn't do this.

You will gain an advantage if you'll pray in tongues as you plan your day, because you're yielding to His ministry. That's all praying in tongues is. When you pray in tongues, you're saying, "Lord, I recognize the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit in my life."

I pray in tongues, or in the Spirit, because I don't always know how to pray as I ought. But I know the Holy Spirit knows. He helps me understand the areas of greatest need and how to answer them.

All of the information at your disposal will become meaningful as you meditate on God's Word and pray in the Holy Spirit. You'll be able to formulate a plan and see how to execute it.

As you sit there praying in the Holy Spirit and meditating on the resources at hand, you will become the most organized person around.
