"And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is." (Acts 4:24)

In Acts chapter 4 we see the saints in a time of danger. Lives are being threatened because of their belief that Jesus Christ is Lord. But they all stood in unity and one accord. It didn't matter about someone else's view on the rider on the red horse.

You can always find something to disagree with. So, today I am not interested in what we disagree with. I want to know what we can agree on. Let's find what we can agree on, and then let's get together in one accord with that, and leave off all the rest.

We can get together in one accord as believers and begin to pray for rain.

It is time to pray. As we begin to pray in one accord, we can hasten the rain clouds. It is interesting how the saints in Acts prayed. They didn't pray the problem. They began to talk about how big God is. Then they really prayed for rain.

They asked Him to "stretch forth His hand to heal that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. And when they had prayed the place shook."

Now one thing I like about my church, if the lights go out in the sanctuary, the people don't panic and look for the exits. They start shouting. We have had that happen a number of times. What a church to be in.

They start praying. They can't even see their neighbor next to them. They are saying, "thank you Lord, alleluia, the devil is about to get another black eye." Glory to God. I like my church.

Well, what would happen if there was an earthquake? Imagine we are in a prayer meeting on Friday night, praying all night. Then all of a sudden, the building begins to shake. Would you panic? Did you know the saints in Acts chapter 4 didn't run out and say, "EARTHQAKE!"

No. Being in prayer that way they were not afraid of anything. There is peace in the Spirit. The place was shaken where they were and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost. You may say, "I thought they were filled with the Holy Ghost in Acts Chapter Two?" They were. You see, there is one initial baptism of the Holy Spirit, but there are many re-fillings.

When you spend time daily re-filling yourself with the Holy Ghost, in prayer and praise to God, then you will speak the word of God with boldness just as they did. You'll go out in your community and speak the word of God with boldness so that many will be saved and come into the kingdom of God.
