I have experienced numerous situations where I was about to die but my life was saved because I heard the Holy Spirit.
Now when much time was spent, and when sailing was now dangerous, because the fast was now already past, Paul admonished them, And said unto them, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the lading and ship, but also of our lives.
(Acts 27:9-10)
The phrase “I perceive” meant that he had a witness. The Spirit of God was showing him these things in order to save his life and the lives of the people who were with him. How do you know it’s the Spirit speaking to you? You know because when you are in Christ you are a new creature; all things are become new (see 2 Cor. 5:17). All means everything. You no longer have your old, demon nature. You are not a spiritual schizophrenic, with God and the devil warring against one another inside of you. A Christian cannot be possessed with a demon spirit. You may have one on your body messing with you, but that is outside you. The devil is not a match for the Holy Ghost. They are not fighting to see which one is going to win.

I have experienced numerous situations where I was about to die but my life was saved because I heard the Holy Spirit. One time, the Spirit of God spoke to me early in the morning before I boarded a commercial flight. He told me not to get on that airplane, just as He had spoken to Paul. I called my secretary and told her to cancel my flight. That flight crashed a hundred miles south of Detroit and killed more than 200 people. God saved me. He wasn’t just trying to save me; I know He had tried to speak to the other people on that plane, also. If I had not listened to the Spirit, I wouldn’t be here today.

Prayer for Today
Father, Your Spirit speaks salvation and protection in every area of my life. Thank you for saving my soul and helping me stay pure. Thank you for saving my body. I am yours. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
