The true indicator of a peaceful man is that he is at peace with himself.
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way.
(2 Thess. 3:16)

Now may the Lord of peace himself grant you his peace (the peace of his Kingdom) at all times and in all ways—under all circumstance and conditions, whatever comes. The Lord (be) with you all.
(2 Thess. 3:16 AMP)
His peace comes to us through His presence. We can be filled with the peace of God as we are filled with the presence of God.

Today we seem to be afraid of silence. In many homes the stereo, radio, and television are kept going all the time. Every passing moment must be filled with some sound.

His peace is available to us at all times, in any circumstance or situation in any need. A ruler is one who directs, makes decisions, guides and controls. We see rulers of this world set up their systems and make their plan to bring about peace, yet world peace has not come. In our lives we see, too, that making our own plans, directing our own lives, does not give inner peace.

God's formula for peace is found in Colossians 3:15: "Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace." "Peace of Christ" is referring to the attitude of bitterness and quarrelsomeness. This attitude is to "rule" (literally "function like an umpire") in all human relationships.

When He rules in our heart everything is in its proper place and peace is the blessed result. His peace inside us is a peace the world cannot give or take away.

The world believes that security (material things) can give peace. But in reality it is only peace with God that brings security.
