At every stage in life, it is important to learn to set incremental goals towards the fulfillment of your dreams and vision.
I encourage you to write your goals down as a regular reference point for your progress.
Here are eight goals to consider attaining before you're 18.
- Make a long-term financial investment in the stock market.
- Read the Bible through entirely.
- Hold down one job for at least six months—a year if possible.
- Read Dale Carnegie's book, "How to Win Friends and Influence People."
- Obtain a basic idea of what career direction you are going to take, and make the necessary plans for school or training.
- Develop one strong friendship that you will keep for life, no matter where you both end up.
- Save enough money to buy a decent used car.
- Keep your grades up, and get your high school diploma.
