I don't think that Christians need to plan things. I believe they should live each day at a time and trust God. Many other Christians tell me that I'm wrong. Can you give me Scripture for or against my stance?

Let's examine two Scriptures:
The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, But those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty.
(Prov. 21:5)

For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it; lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, "This man began to build and was not able to finish."

Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace.
(Luke 14:28-32)
These Scriptures teach that planning is biblically ordained and encouraged by God. Jesus said that a wise person plans and counts the cost.

The book of Proverbs declared that we won't prosper in this life unless we are diligent and "PLAN." God doesn't expect us to live our lives without planning. He wants us to permit Him to be involved with the plans that we make.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
(Prov. 3:5-6)
