Yes, choosing a church is of supreme importance. I have discovered that God desires for us to pray and seek His will for the church He wishes us to attend. God has a church picked out for us; one in which we can learn and become involved.
I do not say this because one church is better than another. This truth regarding God's will became real for me when I attended Bible school. I discovered that God had a plan for me regarding church attendance. Even when considering churches with the same doctrinal background, seeking God's will was a must.
Ask God what His will is for your life. Where does He want you to attend? The spiritual truths God wants you to learn, and the relationships you establish, will bless your life.
God knows the best church for you to attend. Seeking God's will is a simple, but powerful Biblical truth. It is best illustrated in Proverbs: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight" (Prov. 3:5-6 NIV).
