Should Christians worry about witches putting evil spells on us?

There are some witches who do work with real and effective evil power. Christians must recognize the existence of witches and evil spells, yet we should not worry about evil spells or curses being cast upon us.

A good Bible example that justifies this stance deals with the children of Israel during their journeys in the wilderness. You can read the full account in Numbers 22-24. In this account you will discover that a man named Balaam, attempted to curse Israel for King Balak.

The futility of this attempt is seen in Numbers 23:8-23. We see that God declared that you can't curse those who God has not cursed. There is no sorcery or divination that can come against the people of God. Old Testament Jews and New Testament Christians are included in this provision.

I also like what these next two Scriptures declare:
No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.

This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from Me, declares the Lord.
(Isa. 54:17 NIV)

I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
(Luke 10:19 NIV)
We Christians need not worry about what others are plotting against us. No weapon will prevail against us; nothing of the enemy should harm us. God has given us authority over all the power of the enemy.

God does not intend for us to fear witches, but to be assured by the realization that we have authority over their power.
