Do Christians commit spiritual adultery when they leave their church and go to another?

The only Biblical way to commit spiritual adultery is when we stop serving God and serve other gods or things. Let's look at a section of scripture that deals with this subject.
I hope you will put up with a little of my foolishness; but you are already doing that. I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him. But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.
(2 Cor. 11:1-3 NIV)
In a spiritual sense, a Christian is said to be married to the Lord Jesus. We enter into a state of spiritual adultery when we're no longer sincerely and purely devoted to Christ. It's not the church you attend, but the attitude of your heart that brings you into this state (James 4:1-7). You may be attending church regularly, but still have forsaken God in your heart, which would put you in a state of spiritual adultery.

Choosing a church is a decision that only the individual person can make. I pastor a church, but it's not up to me to decide who should become a member of our church. God, through many different methods, will cause individuals to know what church they should join.

He will also let them know if they should leave the church they currently attend. It's important for a pastor to allow God to lead people and not attempt to manipulate them through fear.
