"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly" (John 10:10).

On your job, your job description identifies what you do, right? It outlines your purpose for being there. Well, John 10:10 tells us the job description of Jesus and the job description of the devil. It not only identifies what they do, but who they are.

In Jesus' job description, we find that he is the abundant life giver. He wants to abundantly provide for you by giving you more than enough. That is His job description. He's not taking life from you; He's into giving you abundant life.

The word "abundance" means to live an advantage life; to an extent where this advantage is exceedingly highly above measure. It is super abundance in quantity and superior in quality.

That's the kind of life Jesus provides for us. Jesus is into healing because health is abundance. There is nothing about sickness that provides abundance life-sickness is from the devil.

In Satan's job description, we find that he is the taker of life; for he comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Now I found the Greek word for "kill" interesting; it means to rush; to blow; to breathe hard or to smoke.

In other words, the devil can't hurt you; he has no power over you. He can't do nothing but rush you, breathe on you, and blow hard to get a lot of smoke happening around you. So, Satan may be huffing, and he may be puffing, but he can't blow your house down—unless you let him.

The only way he can blow your house down is if you fall for his tricks. Well, it's time we stop listening to his lies. He doesn't have any power, only lies. You are the one with the power. Don't allow Satan to take your power and use it against you.

We are made in God's image. Now, I don't believe I have a broken down God in heaven. Do you? He's not in heaven holding his side or his head, and asking for Tylenol. There is nothing broken and nothing missing about God.

Jesus came to restore us back to the image of God. That means we are suppose to act like God, be like God, and have what God has. Accept the Word of God and the abundant life Jesus came down on earth to provide for you.
