Hatred stirs up dissension, but love covers over all wrongs.
(Prov. 10:12)

He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him.
(Prov. 13:24)

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
(John 13:34-35)

As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love….

My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command…. This is my command: Love each other.
(John 15:9-10,12-14,17)

Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law…. Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
(Rom. 13:8,10)

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs…. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres…. Love never fails.
(1 Cor. 13:1-5,7-8a)

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
(1 Cor. 13:13)

Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in himself, without comparing himself to somebody else.
(Gal. 6:4)

This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another…. We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death…. Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.
(1 John 3:11,14,18)

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
(1 John 4:7-8)
