Is a Christian holy in the sight of God? If so, how?

This is the wonder of the shed blood of Jesus. It makes us white as snow, pure, and holy in the sight of God! It is not because of what we have done, but it is because of His precious blood.
He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins....

And by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and irreproachable in His sight -

...if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.
(Col. 1:13-14, 20-23)
As long as a Christian continues in the faith, or keeps believing in Jesus, he is holy, blameless, and irreproachable in God's sight. This is a result of the blood that Jesus shed for us.

When a Christian makes a mistake and sins, he or she must then repent and the blood will cleanse him or her anew. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).

It's important for a Christian to understand this great truth. We have been made worthy of God by the blood of Jesus.
