Are all religious traditions of men correct? How do we know what's right?

Not all religious traditions are bad. The only way to determine what is good or bad is to hold each one up to the standard of the Word of God, the Holy Bible.
Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle.
(2 Thess. 2:15)

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
(2 Tim. 3:16-17)
Traditions in the early church came forth from the teaching of the Word of God - the doctrine of the Bible.

We are encouraged to continue in these traditions. If tradition is not based on the Bible, it will actually stop God from moving in our lives and revealing His power:
Making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do.
(Mark 7:13)

As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.

Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.
(Col. 2:6-8)
If tradition is from man and not from the Bible, we will be cheated as we follow it. The Word of God literally will have no effect.

This is why we don't see God do many of the supernatural things He did during the days recorded in the Bible. We must respect biblically based tradition and be willing to let go of tradition that doesn't have a Scriptural birth.
