"Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all" (Ps. 34:19 KJV).

Living godly has benefits that money cannot buy. It causes you to live in satisfaction, joy and tranquility, because you know that God is on your side. Problems do arise in your life, but when your life pleases God you have the assurance of deliverance every time.

I want to encourage you to live godly. My life is fairly simple. Although I do a lot of things, there are no complications in my life.

But life can be very complicated when you don't live for God. If you're living ungodly, you've got three kids over here and two wives over there. You have to pay child support for three, four, five different children. People are after you. You don't know if you've got AIDS.

The creditors are after you because you don't pay your bills. Your ungodly living has put you in bad financial straights. And you don't have any peace. One thing living godly does is give you peace. The world is looking for peace, and money can't buy it. The only thing that will get it for you is to live a godly life.

Well it says in Psalm 34:19: "Many are the afflictions of the righteousness." The word "afflictions" means trouble, test and trials. Many are the test, the troubles, and trials of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.

And you might have trouble now. But if you have been living godly before God, deliverance is already here.

I've seen it in my life. There were times when the enemy thought he had me boxed in a number of times. He thought he had me boxed in on one side, but God kicked the door open there. He thought he had me boxed in on another side, and the Lord provided for me there.

He thought he'd try to starve me, and God provided for me supernaturally. He tried to cut off my finances and God got them to me another way. He tried to stop my church. And God kept giving me miracle after miracle.

And as you live godly before God, God will bless you, because godliness is profitable.
