"And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti" (Esther 2:17 KJV).

The effects of the favor of God on your life are far reaching. Because of this favor, Esther received preferential treatment from the king. This favor caused an ungodly king to grant her petitions. And policies, rules and regulations were even changed to the advantage of her people. Let's take a closer look at the biblical account of Esther.

In short, the king was upset with his wife, and was looking for another one. And out of all of the beautiful virgins in the land, Esther was selected to be the queen. God will give you favor with those in charge, and you'll get preferential treatment. And when God gives you preferential treatment, there is nothing anyone can do about it.

During this time Haman, one of the king's top men plotted to kill all of the Jews because of his jealousy. But Esther intervened, and because of the favor of God upon her, she was allowed to see the king even when she was not called. She asked the king for the salvation of the lives of her people and he granted her petition. Not only that, but Haman fell into his own trap.

Then Esther went on to request that the policies, rules and regulations be changed to the advantage of the Jews. She asked that all the policies concerning the demise of the Jews be reversed. And the king gave her what she asked for (Esther 8:5).

When you have favor, God can change the policies, rules and regulations to your advantage. They may say, "This is our policy." But you know One that will cause them to change their policy, and there's nothing the devil can do about it.

I think you need to give the devil three good ha-ha's today, and give the Lord a whole lot of praise, because that favor is available to you. When you walk in God's favor, you can stand in the midst of adversity and know that God's Word is working in your behalf because the favor of God is upon your life. And if God is for you, who can be against you?

The Lord is on your side, do not fear what man can do. With the Lord on your side, you win every time.
