If you will not obey… then all these curses will come upon you until you are destroyed.
(Deut. 28:15)
The curses were not God’s fault but the result of man’s disobedience to Divine law. I have lived it. Disobedience, insisted upon, brings the curse and finally death in every realm of life even though you may be a born again, Holy Spirit-Baptized, Word-of-God believing, Bible-carrying Christian. If the path of disobedience is continued, then it will lead to a final death of separation from God for eternity.

Paul said that the wages of sin is death. Ezekiel said, the soul that sins it will die. Each individual will be held responsible for their own sin. The sons were not responsible for the sins of their fathers, and the fathers were not responsible or held accountable for the sins of the sons. Each individual was to face the consequences of their own sins.

Each human being without the Lord Jesus in their lives will have to stand before God and face His righteous judgment. The record books will be opened and all will be judged according to their works as it is written in Revelation 20:11-13. These will have no excuse before a righteous God and they will get thrown spirit, soul, and body into a lake that burns with fire and brimstone. They will be separated forever from God and His people. Only the followers of God and the Lord Jesus Christ whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life will get out of that terrible fate. All others have no hope.

An eternity without God is an inescapable fact unless one repents and comes to God through the Lord Jesus Christ and trusts in His great and awesome sacrifice. Repentance and the confession of Jesus as Lord of one’s life, and a trust in Him as Lord and Savior because of His great and awesome sacrifice for us, is the only way out of death and into life!

What about a man of God that loses his way, betrays his call, leaves God and his ways, becomes self-serving and leads a life of sin and rebellion? Can they have a new life? Can God ever restore them, or is all lost for them? They can’t be and never will be restored unless they repent. That is the first step.

One of the prerequisites of repentance is accepting the blame, recognizing that the fault lies with the one in sin and that it is not our Holy Father God and His Son Jesus that are to blame. Repentance means “to change” or “to make a 180 degree turn in the opposite direction”. It means a course change in the opposite direction.

In order for that to happen, one must put the blame squarely where it belongs. One must get rid of the excuses like Adam and Eve gave before God and just lay it all down before Him. One must humble themselves, get rid of lame excuses and say, “God I missed it. It was my fault. I know it is never your fault. I was wrong.”

Until one can admit that they are wrong, then repentance and forgiveness from sin can never take place. Unless they confess their sins before the Lord and receive the cleansing provided by the Blood when redemption was sealed forever in Heaven, they cannot be restored.

Restoration is available. Deliverance is available. Forgiveness is available. A new life is available. The substitution of the sinless Jesus for the sinner is available. Wholeness is available. Victory is available. All of this is available and more, but it is found only in Jesus and what He did for us. These are found in Christ Jesus and only in Him.
