While you believe someone doesn’t like you, the enemy laughs at the Body of Christ.
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
(John 13:34)
Our Heavenly Father desires that we love one another, the Word commands us to love one another, and Holy Spirit leads us in how to love one another. It is imperative that we endeavor to walk in love as desired, commanded, and led. This is the love of God.

Beware of anything that tries to separate you from the love of God. Beware of the schemes of the enemy who seeks to divide the body of Christ. While you believe someone gets on your nerves the enemy is rejoicing because you have separated from someone or isolated yourself because they simply “get on your nerves.” While you believe someone intentionally treated you in a negative fashion, the enemy celebrates division in the Body of Christ because you now ignore their phone calls, text messages, and emails. While you believe someone doesn’t like you, the enemy laughs at the Body of Christ because you built up your emotions to return the dislike in conversation and in attitude.

We are not authorized to have a favorites or preferences. We ought to love everyone as Christ loves us. We ought to treat others with the same love we look to receive. Don’t look at other people to do what you know is right, do what is right and they will follow you. Maybe you will have to be the first to demonstrate this love; maybe you will have be the example of love God desires, Jesus commands, as Holy Spirit leads.

John 14:15, Jesus tells his disciples this, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.” Beloved, if you love Jesus, you will love everyone as He has commanded. This commandment of love means to adore, be devoted to, care for, feel affection for and find irresistible. This is the love God has for us and desires for us to have toward one another. Begin imagining yourself loving everyone the way you see the Lord’s love toward you. Selah!

Prayer: Father, thank You for loving me so much that You sent Your Son to die for me. Forgive me for how I have treated Your beloved. Help me to love everyone the same way You have loved me with adoration and deep affection. In Jesus Name. Amen.
