Do you remember how many years the Israelites wandered through the wilderness and went around the same mountain in order to reach the Promised Land?

Do you have a “Promised Land” in your own life that you have desperately been trying to reach? Do you have a God-given dream or promise that continues to seem unreachable? Do you continue to face self-imposed obstacles that keep you in constant turmoil, and you feel as if you are just going in circles and not making any actual progress?

Deuteronomy 6:1-3 tells us,

Let me take a few moments to introduce a simple, yet profound plan that comes straight for the Word of God that will dramatically improve your walk with the Lord. I call this plan: Promise, Problem, and Provision.

This plan will ignite your marriage, improve your mental health, and increase your business. It will light a rocket under your potential for personal success. Promise, Problem, and Provision is about God keeping His promises to every believer.

More than this, it’s about YOU learning how to activate these promises found in His Word.

Did you know that there are more than 3,000 promises found within the Scriptures? These promises are a veritable treasure trove of goodness that God is waiting to give you. Are you taking advantage of His promises, or are you spending your days worrying about the issues you are facing today?

I know, “Pastor, nobody knows the problems I’m facing.” Guess what? It is not the problems you face that are holding you back, but rather how you act in during the times of adversity that determines how long you stay there.

Are you tired of circling the same mountain in your life? Seek God’s will. SING! In the midnight hour, give praise to the Lord! Honor Him for the good things in your life, for your many blessings. Ask Him where HE wants to lead you…and stop trying to figure things out on your own. Let Him lead you in the way everlasting. When you do, you will find that there is a great deal of peace along the journey…not just upon the arrival at your destiny. God is watching. Are you singing, or are you pouting?

God gives you a promise. Along comes the problem.

The way you conduct yourself in the problem determines how long it takes you to reach His provision.

Do you read the Word? Do you meditate on His promises day and night? Do you cry out to Him for guidance, or do you turn on the TV and fill your mind with useless content? TV can be great entertainment, but it won’t answer life’s questions for you. Only God can do that. Only He can direct your path in such a way that you will be given wells of living water you didn’t dig. He will not only give you the desires of your heart, but He will give you blessings that you cannot contain. 

The choice is yours.

God never breaks a promise. Ever! When you are facing a crisis in your life, seek God’s will. He will send you a promise and peace that surpasses all understanding. Let me be clear on this, if you are given a million-dollar promise, don’t expect a ten-dollar problem.

What did God ask of Abraham? He asked him to sacrifice his son, Isaac. With every painful step up Mt. Moriah, Abraham could have turned around. But he obeyed the Lord, and Abraham’s descendants have been blessed to this day.

Regardless of your current circumstances, God will see you through to the other side, if you will simply trust and obey.

Were you diagnosed with a life-threatening illness? Seek God! Find the promise in His Word that you can stand on until the provision comes. Is your business failing? God has an answer just waiting for you! Praise the Lord! Our God knows your every need, and He has a perfect plan for your life, if only you will believe and stand in faith.

Is your marriage on the rocks? Give God the glory to work first in you and then through you. Believe it or not, God may be using your problem to take you to a better place, a place of higher worship, a place of greater reward.

Don’t make a career out of your problem! It doesn’t have to take 40 years wandering around the mountain in the wilderness to reach the prize. Your provision may very well be right around the next corner. Continue to seek God’s will for your life. Don’t look to the left or the right—look up! Your redemption draweth nigh.

God has a Promised Land for you today. I am confident that there is something He wants to do in your business, your home, your marriage—something special that He wants to do for you. But first, you must focus on the sovereign, perfect will of God the Father. If you’re ready to allow God to work in you, His supernatural peace will be yours all the days of your life, as He holds your hand while walking through the most treacherous valley.

When you have a problem, don’t let it consume your life. God has a promise, and the provision, if you will only seek after Him. Obey what He tells you to do and with an attitude of praise. He will lead you straight through the wilderness. Whine and complain about the problem, and He will send you on another lap around the mountain. If you will follow the steps ordered by the Lord, your life will be like the days of heaven on earth, no matter what giants you face.
