God desires for us to realize just who He has created us to be and to understand the authority we've been given.  The Bible is filled with scriptures that explain our rights and privileges "in Him."

So let's take a look at several scriptures and find out who we are in Him—who you are in Him.

In Him—you are created to be His home in the earth.
"In [Him] you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit" (Eph. 2:22).

Just think about that for a moment. When you pray, you don't have to wait for God to come down from heaven and give you an answer.

Why?

Because He dwells in you—His power has been deposited in you. And you have the ability to release that power with His Word.

In Him—you can have confidence.
"In [Him] we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him" (Eph. 3:12).

In Him—you are forgiven and redeemed from everything the devil has held against you.
"In [Him] we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins" (Col. 1:14).

"In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace" (Eph. 1:7).

In Him—you have access to all wisdom and knowledge.
"...in [Him] are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge" (Col. 2:3).

In Him—you are made to be righteous.
"For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him" (2 Cor. 5:21).

"...and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith" (Phil. 3:9).

In Him—you are holy.
"...just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love" (Eph. 1:4).

In Him—you have the inheritance of the firstborn.
"In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will" (Eph. 1:11).

In Him—there is the complete revelation of the Father, the incarnation of God.
"For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell" (Col. 1:19).

"For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power" (Col. 2:9-10).

In Him...
  • you are His home in the earth.
  • you can have confidence.
  • you are forgiven and redeemed.
  • you have access to all wisdom and knowledge.
  • you are made to be righteous.
  • you are holy.
  • you have the inheritance of the firstborn.
