To thrive means "to make steady progress; prosper. To grow vigorously; flourish." You were created in God's image, and He made you to flourish!
He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
(Psalm 1:3 KJV)
After many years of trying to grow beautiful houseplants, I have finally conceded that this is just not my season for it. I really do care about them, but when I'm on the road ministering with Jesse, I don't even think about those plants.

When we return home and walk through the door, however, there they are, begging for water. Once again, I try to revive them from yet another near-death experience.

Do you feel like my houseplants, existing in "survival mode"? Well, God doesn't want you just fighting for survival, He wants you to thrive!

To thrive means "to make steady progress; prosper. To grow vigorously; flourish." You were created in God's image, and He made you to flourish!

Psalm 1 describes God's three-step plan for us to thrive. If we:
  1. Choose not to hang with the wrong crowd and...
  2. Crave God's Word and feed on it, we shall...
  3. Live a long, fruitful, prosperous life!
Cultivate relationships with people who have a strong walk with God, people who won't drag you down. Crave and feed on God's Word because it fills you with wisdom to thrive over challenges.

It may not come overnight, but if you will follow these principles, God has promised that you will flourish and bring forth much fruit. Now that's thriving. Decide to do it today!
