Traffic jams! I thought, "Dear God, We are going to have a meeting here tonight." Look at this crowd I mean, they were completely around the building trying to get through the doors.
Finally, a security officer directed our car into the reserved area and people were running and chasing after our car, beating on the windows and waving. I thought, "I've never seen people act like this in one of our meetings before."
Once we had parked the car, people started hollering, "There he is!" I thought, "What's wrong with these folks?" I got out of the car and someone said, "That's not Hulk Hogan."
They had come for "Wrestlemania" and our crusade was in the same building.
After they found out I wasn't Hulk Hogan, I went into the dressing room and found that Hulk Hogan and I were sharing the same room. He looked at me and said, "You wrestling tonight?" I said, "Yes sir!" I knew what he was thinking…"I didn't know we had any midgets on the program tonight."
I said, "Yes sir, how about you?" He said, "Yeah, I'm wrestling tonight." I said, "Who are you wrestling?" He told me. He said, "Who are you wrestling?" I said, "Principalities and powers and wicked spirits in heavenly places." He said, "Amen brother! We're both wrestling tonight!"
Well, we are wrestling in the spirit, but thank God we're not alone in our match! Ol' Hulk can only depend on his strength and his ability, but thank God, the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, they are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. We are not in this thing alone. God's on our side, and we cannot lose!
You Can Win Your Match
The greatest victories you've ever known in your life are not behind you, but just around the corner. What you've been believing for, hoping for, standing for, and sowing for; it's coming! If God is on our side there is absolutely no possibility of us losing.
Just look at what it says in Romans,
So what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn't hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing Himself to the worst by sending His own Son, is there anything else He wouldn't gladly and freely do for us? And who would dare tangle with God by messing with one of God's chosen?It's dangerous to tangle with God and one of His anointed ones. God's touchy about His kids! I'm telling you, the devil's gone too far where you're concerned. The devil will push you and push you and attack you and accuse you and finally God says, "That's enough! Touch not mine anointed!"
(Rom. 8:31-34)
I don't know what kind of pressure you might be under, but it could be that this is the week that God decides enough is enough!
Here's an example from the Word of God of just how God feels when the adversary touches one of His anointed. Acts says,
So I'm telling you, hands off these men! Let them alone. If this program or this work is merely human it will fall apart out but if it is of God, there is nothing you can do about it and you'd better not be found fighting against God.The next time the devil says, "I'm going to kill you! I'm going to take everything you've got! I'm going to destroy your family. I'm going to destroy your ministry. I'm going to bury you," just look him right square in the eye, and tell him, "If it's a fight that you want, then a fight you will get, but when the dust settles, God and I will still be standing!"
(Acts 5:38-39)
This is not the time to look for ways to give up. This is the time to begin to celebrate and praise God because your victory, your breakthrough is on its way!
Somebody said, "Oh, I've been standing so long!" Yes, and keep on standing. "But how long will it take?" Until you win! "How long does it take to win?" Until you don't have to stand anymore!
You Were Hand-Picked
How can you lose with God on your side? God calls you "chosen." God calls you the elect. "Elect" means hand picked. You were hand picked by God. God is deeply in love with you. "Well, if He is, why is He letting me go through this? Why do I have to endure all this?"
You and I live between "Amen" and "there it is" and while you're marching towards "there it is" the very character of Jesus is being developed in you. And when you reach "there it is" you'll know something about patience, faith, love, temperance, and long suffering.
Once you win, the taste of victory is sweet and you'll never be satisfied again until you win every time!
God's not just going to stand around and watch the devil beat up on you all day long for the rest of your life and not do anything about it. However, if you're going to bawl and squall and talk defeat, poverty, sickness, and disease, then there's very little that God can do for you.
The Bible says that the angels excel in strength hearkening unto the voice of God's Word. If you go around talking defeat all the time, the angels are not at your disposal. You've got them bound. They are standing with their hands tied waiting to hear words of faith.
So, when you talk the Word of God, that's like "Wheaties" for the angels. They excel in strength waiting to respond to the faith coming out of your mouth.
The Apostle Paul says, "Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice." Not just when things are going well. Not just when you've got all the money you need. Not only when your body feels good. Not only when your family's in harmony but, "Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice!"
Get Your Second Wind
When you're at your weakest and there is absolutely no way that you can humanly overcome, then that's when the power of God will come on you the strongest. I call it a Holy Ghost second wind. However, there are a lot of Christians who never experience this because they give up too quickly.
If you're an athlete or have been an athlete, then you know what I'm talking about. There's a second wind that comes to athletes who train properly. When they push themselves to the limit and it seems there's nothing else there, then comes a second wind, a reservoir of strength that enables them to persevere.
If you train properly in the Word, your Holy Ghost second wind will come every time and get you over.
So, tell the devil, "You might knock me down, but you will never knock me out! God's on my side, and no weapon that is formed against me will prosper!" There's absolutely no reason whatsoever for people like you and me to ever give up and quit in a battle. God is with us. He's in us. And He's for us. So, how could we possibly lose?
