Hebrews 6:18: "That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us."

There are two things that guarantee your victory when you stand on the Word of God. God made a promise, and God has sworn an oath. The promise was made to Abraham and his Seed. That Seed is Jesus. Therefore, Jesus is the guarantee of the New Covenant.

A covenant requires action from two sides. There was God's side, and there was man's side. Jesus, in His death, burial and resurrection fulfilled the covenant on both sides. See, the Bible says that Jesus was the "perfect mediator" between God and man. So He represented God's side because He was God come down from heaven. He also represented man's side, because He was born into this earth and had a flesh and blood body.

This unbeatable oath was confirmed when our "perfect mediator" was raised from the dead. He went into the Holies of Holies in Heaven in representation of man sacrificing His own blood, and sprinkling it upon His mercy seat. That was man's side.

You see, Jesus did your part. He did what you could not do. It was your blood that was supposed to be offered. But your blood was tainted with sin. So, Jesus, the man, allowed His body to be broken and His blood to be spilled in order to offer sinless blood before God. Then God received Jesus, the Sacrificial Lamb, as the sacrifice for all sin. Hence, the fulfillment of the promise.

Jesus, the Promise, ratified the oath and it cannot be broken. It is an unbreakable oath. If anybody were to break it then someone would have to die. The good news is that someone has already died. Jesus died one time for everyone. He doesn't have to die again. Once was enough. So, because He died, we live. He sealed the covenant, proving the power of the Word of God.

That is why you can speak the Word of God and it will change your body. It will change your bankbook. It will change your family situation. It will change your social life. It will change that situation on the job. The Word of God will do what it God said it would do, because God is an unbeatable God with an unbeatable oath.
