Perilous times are seasonal. They are not permanent. The devil is attempting to find out where you stand. What is your attitude going to be about perilous times? How are you going to conduct yourself? Are you going to give up before your breakthrough? Are you going to give up because it appears that there is no daylight in sight?

Or, are you going to keep going forward with the confession of your mouth and the release of your faith, until you breakthrough? You may be facing some hard times right now, but let me just tell you something, all they have done is just settle in. They're not permanent; they will blow over.

Manifestation Time
The devil loves it when a believer says, "I can't take it anymore!" That's why he turns the volume up on the pressure and makes it so intense right before "manifestation time."

You see, he is hoping you will give up just before the breakthrough comes. When you are experiencing the greatest pressure, that's always a good indication that the devil has fired his best shot. If this one doesn't get you, he is finished! Praise God!

What must we do in perilous times in order to be victorious? The answer is found in 2 Timothy 3:14, "But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned."

Notice Paul didn't say that we are just suppose to lay down and give up. He said the key to winning in the last days is to continue in what you've learned. Do you know what that tells me? I don't need some new revelation that no one has ever heard to get me over.

The Body of Christ, particularly Charismatics, are notorious for laying hold of truth for a season, only to let it go in search of something new that tickles their ears.

Build On What You Know
You don't let go of revelations, you build on them. We do need new insight, but if we continue to meditate on the Word day and night, God will illuminate our thinking and give us wisdom daily. He will build on what we already know.

The Living Bible says it this way, "You must keep on believing the things you have been taught" (2 Tim. 3:14). Don't let go of them!

Let's look at Ecclesiastes 3: 1, "To every thing there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven." The way to avoid frustration, weariness, depression, discouragement, and the temptation to quit is to understand that with God there is an appointed time, or a due season for everything.

If you understand this principle, then the first thing it will do is eliminate the frustration of "waiting" for the manifestation. Galatians 6:9 says that "We are not to be weary in well doing, and we will reap if we faint not."

In Genesis 8:22 we see, "While the earth remains, seed-time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease." As long as the earth remains, this law will be in effect. Every other law revolves around the law of seed-time and harvest.

You've Been Busy Sowing
Your present life represents the sum total of the seeds you've been sowing. If you don't like the way your life is right now, you have no one to blame but you.

You sowed the seeds. Your words are seeds. Your actions are seeds. Your possessions are seeds. You are planting seeds every day of your life from the moment you get up to the moment you lie down. You are planting seeds through your words, actions, and deeds.

Watching your words is not something you do for a season but for a lifetime. You don't just learn this and then let go of it because it's not popular teaching anymore. Paul said to keep on believing what you have already been taught.

By the words of your mouth, you are watering seed. It needs to be watered daily until it comes up. Not just one time if you feel like it. Not just one time when you get under a lot of pressure. It's continually.

God also showed me from Mark 11:23 that debt is like a mountain, and you must talk to it. He said, "If you don't talk to your mountains, then they will talk to you!" Lack will talk to you. Bills will talk to you. Failure talks. It will talk to you all night long.

Next the Lord said for me to be aggressive about it. Don't just play around with this. And then He reminded me of blind Bartimaeus who heard that Jesus was coming and began to scream, "Master, Son of David, have mercy on me!" And the people around told him to shut up and be quiet. But he screamed louder! As you start talking to your mountains, people will tell you to shut up. But you just shout louder. Be agressive!

Finally, the Lord said, "be consistent, never give up!" You have nothing to lose by standing, but you have everything to lose by giving up.

God wants to work miracles in our times of great stress, but we must keep on believing and practicing what we have been taught. So, rise up and stir up those revelations within your heart, victories are waiting for you!
