Have you ever had a little extra money one month, and found yourself looking forward to buying something new when suddenly the car breaks down? And of course, it takes all your extra money! Sometimes it feels like you get one thing repaired just in time for something else to break down. It's amazing how all your extra money is always going to repair things.

Are you fed up with the devil stealing from you? The Word of God says in Proverbs 6:31, "But if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold - he shall give all the substance of his house." In other words, catch the thief and make him pay!

Jesus has given us various weapons. They include prayer, the use of Jesus' name, His blood and His Word. I want to talk about the written Word of God as our Weapon. God's Word is referred to as the Sword of the Spirit (Eph. 6:17).

On the Mount of temptation, Jesus fought Satan with the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Jesus was so effective in His use of the Scripture that He put Satan on the run. You can do that too!

In Matthew 4:3, the devil challenged Jesus to turn the stones into bread if He really was the Son of God. Jesus answered this temptation with the scripture. He said, "It is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word which proceedeth out of the mouth of God."

Jesus never fought Satan with His own strength or power. He always fought him with the Word of God. We need to always remember that in our own battles.

In Matthew 4:5-6, Satan told Jesus to cast Himself down from the pinnacle of the temple because God would send His angels to catch Him (if He was the Son of God). But we see in verse seven Jesus said, "It is written, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God." Here again, we see Jesus defeating Satan with the Word.

Finally in Matthew 4:8-9, Satan promised Jesus all the kingdoms of the world if He would fall down and worship him. In verse ten (AMP) Jesus said to him, "Be gone Satan, for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve."

Then the devil left Him. In His battle with the devil, the weapon Jesus used was the Word of God. It gave Him complete and total victory, and it will do the same thing for you - if you use it!

Many of you have heard the story about our youngest daughter's fingers being cut off in the nursery. Jerry and I were young in the Word, and we were attending a Kenneth Copeland meeting in our church.

Our younger daughter, Terri, was just a baby, crawling in the nursery when her fingers got caught underneath the rocking chair. As we sat in the service soaking up the Word of God being preached, we heard screaming in the distance.

We saw the nursery attendant come running in the church with this screaming baby and blood all over her. Much to our surprise, it was our baby. Two of her little fingers had been completely cut off. Brother Copeland prayed that the pain would stop and Terri instantly fell asleep on her Daddy's shoulder.

As Jerry took the baby into the bathroom to clean up the blood, the nursery attendant knocked on the door and handed him Terri's little fingers in a paper towel. The opportunity for fear to come on him was there.

Jerry said, "Satan, if I could get my hands on you, I would wring your neck!" And suddenly, he heard the Lord say, "Jerry, Satan is a spirit, and you have to fight him with spiritual weapons."

So, Jerry began to quote every scripture he knew - which wasn't very many back then. He quoted Deuteronomy 28:4 which says, "Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body." Our baby's fingers being cut off was not the fruit of our body being blessed.

Even with the negative reports we received from the doctor, we continued to confess the Word. We consumed ourselves with the Word. We were told that it had taken the nail root and she would never have fingers or nails, just two little stubs. But we refused to accept that report.

The doctor even disposed of her little fingers because there was no hope in sewing them back on. But God is the God of restoration! He not only restored our baby's fingers to normal length, but He gave her beautiful fingernails as well!

If you are fed up today with the devil stealing from you and your family, then make him pay. It's payday for him! If we had not taken our stand, being relentless in God's Word and using it day by day, moment by moment as our Sword of the Spirit against him, Satan would have triumphed in that situation and our child would have grown up with two little short fingers.

Has the devil stolen your family, your peace, your health, your finances? Then it's time you took the Word of God and began to do battle. If your children are running from the Lord, then confess Jeremiah 31:17, "And there is hope in thine end, saith the Lord, that thy children shall come again to their own border."

If your peace has been robbed, then confess Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

If it's your health Satan has attacked, then confess Isaiah 53:5, "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."

If you're believing for restoration in your finances, then confess Philippians 4:19, "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

Begin to confess the scriptures concerning your situation. There is a verse for everything you're going through. God covered it all when He wrote the Bible. Look up all the scriptures you can find, and speak them over your household. Don't let up in your stand of faith. Use the Word of God, go to battle and make the devil pay!
