Psalms 34:1 says, "I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips."
During the time of great trouble in David's life, there was seemingly nothing to praise God for - yet the psalmist praised God continually.
Can we praise God when sorrow comes, when we are overwhelmed with fear, doubt, unbelief, financial reversals, death of a loved one? David said, "I will extol the Lord at all times." He chose to do this because he looked beyond his circumstances.
"Seven times a day do I praise thee, because of thy righteous judgements" (Ps. 119:164).
A good habit: Repeat a declaration seven times a day until it becomes a habit to praise God.
