We are told of Jehoshaphat's defeat of Moab and Ammon in 2 Chronicles 20:15-22.

In verse 15 it says: “Listen, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Listen, King Jehoshaphat! This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid! Don’t be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but God's."

Yes, dear brothers and sisters, it's God's battle — never ours!

The battle is ALWAYS God's to fight. He may send others to fight it for us or we may have to stand before the enemy ourselves but as we stand, it is God's power within us or in those He sends to battle for the victory. This can only happen when we cast adverse situations on God. When we attempt to do battle without His guidance, strategic plan and power, we lose and we cannot say it was God's will when acting in our own flesh.

This is key:  We can never take the enemy’s onslaught personally. As guaranteed and promised in Psalms 34:19, "Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all." Satan is not after us, but CHRIST in us! We are not the enemy but He who is doing a good work in us is his enemy! He is trying to take GOD out by killing, stealing and destroying those who serve Him!

God is all-knowing and Satan’s schemes against us are not unnoticed. God fights for us and He will do it every time when we allow Him.

Of note and importance also in this text is Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah, Jerusalem and some Levites were in worship, songs and praise before the battle began. It was while they were giving thanks and in worship with songs and praise that the LORD had their enemies defeated.

Whether in the valley or on the mountaintop, you must have your Valley of Berakah. Berakah means praise! I remind you of the tumbling walls of Jericho.

Do not get in the ring with the enemy without God. You will not win. You may be clever, intelligent, brilliant and astute but you must remember who gave you these gifts and attributes.

We are dust without God and a dynasty with Him. Let Him battle for you. “Cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)
