Many Christians are involved in what I call "bullfrog praying." They start praying with faith and confidence, then leap onto a lily pad of doubt and unbelief when obstacles appear.

In other words, they speak words of doubt that shut down the production of the things their faith began to construct. Instead of applying faith pressure to their circumstances, they lose heart and allow problems to pressure them into giving up.

Hebrews 10:23 tells us to "...hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised)."

The word profess simply means "to confess." Let me say it this way, your profession is your confession. It's your job to make the things you desire come to pass.

Therefore the profession of your faith begins when you confess the Word of God over what you have prayed.

So don't speak words of doubt and unbelief. Confess the Word. Hold fast and stay rooted in what the Father has spoken to you. When you diligently seek the Lord and continue confessing words of faith over your life, He will reward your efforts (see Heb. 11:6).

When I was growing up, people used to warn me not to say anything aloud that would make the devil mad because he might hinder my prayers from being answered. As I began to understand my covenant rights, however, I realized that the spirit of fear was operating in the lives of those people.

Today, I am confident that Satan is powerless in hindering my prayers. As long as I keep the Word in my heart, and follow the Holy Spirit's leading, things will be just fine. I can overcome any obstacle with the Word of God!

Child of God, one of the worst things a Christian can do is to remain silent in the midst of a storm. You may not know it, but your diligence in speaking words of faith lets God, the angels, Satan and the demons know that you are serious about seeing the results of your prayers.

God is enthusiastic about answering your prayers and wants to bless you with abundance; but neglecting to make faith confessions keeps Him from doing so.
