The world is groping in darkness. It's getting darker and darker, while in the church it's getting brighter and brighter. Satan is on the rampage because he knows his days are numbered. He's down to the wire.

We're seeing manifestations and we will continue to see manifestations of his evil more and more.

But understand this, that in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble (hard to deal with and hard to bear). For people will be lovers of self and (utterly) self-centered, lovers of money and aroused by an inordinate (greedy) desire for wealth, proud and arrogant and contemptuous boasters.

They will be abusive (blasphemous, scoffing), disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane. (They will be) without natural (human) affection (callous and inhuman), relentless (admitting of no truce or appeasement); (they will be) slanderers (false accusers, troublemakers), intemperate and loose in morals and conduct, uncontrolled and fierce, haters of good.

(They will be) treacherous (betrayers), rash, (and) inflated with self-conceit. (They will be) lovers of sensual pleasures and vain amusements more than and rather than lovers of God. For (although) they hold a form of piety (true religion), they deny and reject and are strangers to the power of it (their conduct belies the genuineness of their profession). Avoid (all) such people (turn away from them).

We Are in These Perilous Times
Understand this: It's something you can't change. You can't pray it out of existence, and it's not going to get better; it's going to get worse.

For the believer, however, God has provided a way for us in the midst of these perilous, troubled, stress-filled, hazardous, dangerous times. They're going to be all around, but God has provided a way that you and I can escape all of this and not be touched or be harmed by it in any way.

I want you to notice the words, fierce, haters of good. The word fierce means violently hostile or aggressive in temperament, given to fighting or killing. It also means marked by unrestrained zeal or vehement extremely vexatious, furiously active or determined while menacing in appearance.

The word good is: a good person conforms to the moral order of the universe; praiseworthy character. And the word good comes from the word God.

The shootings that took place at the youth rally in the Wedgwood Baptist Church in Fort Worth was really close to home for me. Many of the students who were involved in that go to the high school that is about a mile from my house. These were precious young children who loved God and were killed in church.

I was praying and interceding for these families, and all of a sudden, I remembered that Smith Wigglesworth said there would be two great revivals before the appearing of Jesus. One would be among the islands of the world, and the other one, the last one before the appearing of Jesus, would be among our children.

I'm telling you, that excited me. We're living, witnessing, we're seeing it with our own eyes that the revival has started among our children. And Satan is mad!

A friend asked me when all this had happened, "Carolyn, if you were in a restaurant and a madman came in and grabbed one of your children and had a gun to their head, what would be your response? What would be your immediate reaction?"

"Plead the Blood!" I said. "I would speak the Name of Jesus and bind that spirit and start covering my child in the Blood. That would be the first thing that would come out of me."

In these last days, it is imperative, and I would love to come to your home and shake each one of you to get this point across. I want you to hear what I'm saying if you've got children. It is vital that you teach your children about the blood of Jesus. If your child knows how to say, "Mamma, Dadda," or "Bye-bye," they should also be saying, '"Jesus." If they're old enough to begin to talk, they should be able to speak the Name of Jesus. It's the difference between life and death.

If they can watch Sesame Street and learn their 1, 2, 3's and their A, B, C's, they can learn about the Blood of Jesus and about the power in the Name. We're not playing games anymore.

There's been a line drawn in the spirit world right now, and it's the difference between life and death. It's the difference between being an overcomer or being overcome.

These are troubled times. These are perilous times. These are times like no other generation has ever witnessed before. Where is the innocence with our children? Where's the innocence with our babies? Even the commercials on television are so full of perversion and violence that our little children just sit there and watch and become conformed to it.

Revelation 12:7-10 says,

And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, and prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the devil, and Satan, which decevieth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

But look at verse 11!

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

They overcame him, the accuser, Satan, by the blood! Oh, hallelujah. There's power in the Blood.

My husband Jerry says, "It's imperative in this day and age that you be at the right place at the right time, not the wrong place at the wrong time." We're going to have to learn to be sensitive to our spirits, to the Holy Spirit inside of us. We have got to attune ourselves to God and to His directions for our lives and quit being so desensitized to the things around us.

I urge every one of you reading this article right now to begin pleading the blood of Jesus over your family members right now. Don't let them leave your house until you've covered them in the blood. You can overcome Satan and his attacks by the blood of Jesus.
