The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
(Isa. 40:3 KJV)

There is a spiritual landscape to be changed and rearranged. God has a plan and when there are spiritual highways built, that plan moves along much faster and easier. So how do we change the spiritual topography of our lives, our cities, our country and the nations of the world? How do those highways for God get built? It takes a voice. It takes your voice.

God’s Word is alive and full of power (Heb. 4:12 AMP), but it is released through our voices, just like we read above in Isaiah. Complaining and declaring what already is, will never bring those mountains down. Neither will crying and whining. But God’s Word in our mouths will! As we declare God’s Word, God will release His power to change things that need to be changed, and to build things that need to be built, so His plan can move forward in the earth.

What we say is important. What we pray is important too. Through our prayers God does the demolition work and the work of building. He has the hard job. All we have to do is believe His Word and declare it. When natural things that seem contrary to God’s Word, don’t be moved! We must keep our focus on what HE said. We must keep declaring His Word, for it is His Word that He watches over to perform. As we continue to do so, obstacles to the plan of God will be blasted out of the way.

God anointed Jeremiah to speak into the nations, and God has anointed each one of us too. In fact, in 1 Timothy 2:1-4, He told us to pray for all men, for kings, for all leaders, and for nations. But He didn’t stop there. He told us the ultimate effect of those prayers; that men would be saved and come to the knowledge of the Truth. As we align our praying with God’s Word, and pray His Word over leaders, the power in that Word will affect them.

Never underestimate the power of God’s Word in your mouth. Take your place of prayer. It’s time for some things to change and God wants to use your voice to do it!
