Whether you realize it or not, your children are constantly learning. Therefore it is important that you teach and train them according to the Word of God. You see, if you don't train them, someone else will. And if you don't live up to your responsibilities as a parent, the devil will gladly take them as his own. He'll take advantage of anything you don't use by using it for himself.

When you fail to love your daughter or your son as God commands in His Word, Satan will assign an alternate-and it won't be someone you would want to love them.

Child of God, don't give away the responsibility that God has entrusted to you. Use the scriptures listed below as a guideline for training your children.

Teach them the Word
"And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up" (Deut. 6:6-7).

Train them God's way
"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it" (Prov. 22:6).

Provide for them
"...I will not burden you [financially], for it is not your [money] that I want but you; for children are not duty bound to lay up store for their parents, but parents for their children" (2 Cor. 12:14 AMP).

Nurture them
"And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord" (Eph. 6:4).

Control them
"One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)" (1 Tim. 3:4-5).

Love them
"By this we come to know (recognize and understand) that we love the children of God: when we love God and obey His commands (orders, charges)-[when we keep His ordinances and are mindful of His precepts and His teaching]" (1 John 5:2 AMP).
