In fact, a recent statistic says that 35 percent of all born-again people are still trying to find the meaning of life. As parents, pastors, youth pastors, leaders, and people who care about young people, it's our responsibility to help them find a purpose.
It's our job to help them be in a position where they can hear God's voice and do what they were born to do. It's our mandate to help them discover their fullest potential and live up to it. We are to challenge, encourage, inspire, and lift them to the next highest level.
Whether it's the teenagers in your house who are of your own lineage or the young people in your church, whether it's the young people down the street from you or your children's friends, instead of just leaving them out in the cold and hoping they can figure out their own purpose and "what to do with their life," we need to mentor them, encourage them, and coach them so they're not like the rest of the world.
They get the attitude that they're losers and never figure out what to do with their life, and we act like it's not our responsibility. But with our help, they'll discover early in life what they were born to do and get a glimpse of their potential.
They will feel us, as their parents and leaders, constantly nudging them out of the nest to soar like an eagle and fulfill their greatest potential.
